The honesty of a candid photograph is a catalyst for joyful memories.

The catalyst for pursuing children's candid photography was inspired by a picture that my older daughter has of her little sister on her cell phone. The picture is a candid moment—her younger sister growling/grinning at the camera. Every time that picture pops up, we smile…for that is the little sister and daughter we know—not the preschool pictures we have of her or the posed ones taken at studios.

So, after years of event planning both personally and for an association where I incorporated candid photography, I heeded the advice of colleagues, friends and family who said, “This is your calling—this is what you should be doing” and launched Extra-Ordinary Moments Events & Photography–combining my passion for children, party planning and photography.

Children grow up so quickly. Finding a way to celebrate the moments in their lives, while also providing unique party planning assistance so that parents are participants in those celebrations is the foundation of Extra-Ordinary Moments.

Professionally trained in Photography since 1997 and having studied with the New York Institute of Photography, I continue to be moved by pictures of children in their natural state.
